A TackTracker race will normally contain multiple tracks, each recorded simultaneously
by a different GPS tracker.
In any race containing multiple tracks, one track is designated the current track. When
you use the navigation buttons to navigate forward and back by a tack or a leg, you are
navigating the current track. All other tracks follow to remain synchronized in time.
The current track is highlighted in Blue in the Select Tab:
The Timeline Slider also shows the current track:
The name of the current track is displayed along with current statistics just below the plot
area:
Managing Multiple Tracks
Use the "Select" tab to manage multiple tracks:
With this tab you can:
· See which line color corresponds to each track
· Select the current track. The current track is the highlighted row.
· Select the active tracks. Active tracks have a check against their name. Only active
tracks are displayed in the track player and tables. You can use this feature to de-select tracks that you are not interested in, and reduce clutter.
· Sort the list of competitors by Name or Details by clicking the column heading.
The (Select All) check provides a convenient way to check and uncheck all tracks
simultaneously. For example, if you have 30 tracks, but only wish to view 3 of them, first
uncheck the (Select All) box, then check the three tracks you wish to view.
The Sort Place check lets you create a running leader board as TackTracker will
automatically sort the competitors by place during the track replay. With Sort Place
unchecked, you can still sort manually by clicking on the column headings.
The Compare check provides a convenient way for you to compare the performance of
the current boat with the best and worst performers for the current leg. Check Compare
and only these tracks will be active. This makes it easy to compare performances, using
the charts and tables. Uncheck to return to your previous selection.
Note that when comparing tracks, you get two rows in the current stats table. This gives
you a powerful way to compare the performance of two boats.
Note how the stat is highlighted in yellow for the best performing boat.
You can also display the speeds and VMG figures in the plot window for different boats
by selecting the desired display setting using the text slider control:
