This button will open the the standard Windows Open File dialog, or you may drag a GPS file onto the button from Windows Explorer.

You can import the following types of file into TackTracker:

File Type
Description
.GPX
An industry standard format for GPS files.  Most GPS's come with software that lets you save to GPX.
.VCC
Velocitek's Control Center file format
.CSV
Comma Separated Value - generated by the QStarz Travel Recorder utility.
.LOG or .NMEA
NMEA data - such as that recorded by an AMOD AGL 3080 logger - and many others.
.SBP
Created by the Locosys GT-31 or BGT-31 when saving the track to the SD card.
.TTX or .TTZ
TackTracker format.  Unlike the other files, a TTZ file can contain all tracks for a race including the course definition.

After selecting or dragging a file, you may be prompted to identify your track:

Name: This is what appears in the plot window and is also used for the track file name. Something short, that best identifies the boat - such as a skipper's name or sail number is best.
Details: Other identification information - displayed in the Select tab.
Color: A color will be selected for you.  You can select another color if you wish.
Craft: Select the best representation of your craft: select from Small Mono, Large Mono, Catamaran and Sailboard.

Fill in the details and click Save.
